A's See Red, Lose Derby   Subscribe via RSS

Boston Avenue Athletic Club Headquarters- Having taken their first ever point from the Veteran’s Park derby last season, the A’s entered Sunday’s match confident that they could improve on last season’s effort and grab all three. Things looked good after 25 minutes when a long ball from Tommy Kern found Dalesandro who calmly lifted the ball over Boulder’s dwarf of a goalkeeper. At 1-0 things seemed fine until Dalesandro was sent off for getting elbowed.

“It’s not surprising” said the A’s skipper

“I was sent of three years ago for getting punched against DTU, I’m used to it”

Halftime: 1-0

Boulder quickly jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the second half before Patty Ryan’s pinpoint cross was smashed into the top of the net by Kevin Drouillard. The goal marked Drouillard’s first goal for the first team in over two and a half years. The A’s had a few chances to take the lead but Boulder kept their composure and gradually eased their way to a 5-2 victory. It should be noted that Ryan Harrison had a tackle in the second half that was so beautiful that it made every man in attendance’s dick totally rock hard.
