BAAC VS Hibernius

Boston Avenue Athletic Club Headquarters- The B.A.A.C. got it's season back on track Sunday with a resounding 6-0 victory over league foes Hibernian. One very special thing happened though....

Hibernian's goalkeeper was the best player on the field during the first half, denying both Dalesandro and McKenna on breakaways in the first 15 minutes. In the 22nd minute he turned McKenna's headed effort off of the bar, only for center back Ben Aycock to pounce on the fortuitous rebound and give the A's a 1-0 advantage. The keeper managed to pull off several more fantastic saves and the Athletic's entered the half holding on to their slim 1-0 lead.

"We'd been exposing them in the back all game, it was only a matter of time before the goals came" said Dr. Tommy Kern

"We're an experienced bunch and we knew that a little patience would pay off, we kept doing what we were doing and the floodgates opened"

And the floodgates did open. First, Sonny Dalesandro kept his streak of "crappy" goals going when he tapped in Andy Kern's cross that had already floated over the goalkeeper. Next something special happened. Dalesandro heard the call from a charging Jordan McKenzie and played the ball to the on-rushing midfielder. McKenzie cut left and drove a beautiful effort towards the top corner.

"I was standing right behind Jordan and I knew if it went in that the 'Goal of the year' polls would be closed" said Ben Fell

It did. Top corner. Unstoppable drive. Party time. A homeless man was spotted weeping in the woods just behind the goal after the strike. He stated that a gift of such visual beauty had not been bestowed upon his eyes in decades.

At 3-0, the A's smelled blood and looked to finish off their disheartened counterparts. Fell opened his scoring account with a real beauty from Drouillard, and Dalesandro grabbed his second with McKenzie setting up the volleyed effort. Jason Ganus rounded off the scoring and the match finished a one-sided 6-0 victory in favor of the B.A.A.C..

The A's travel to Jenks, America Wednesday night to play new club Shamwow. For the record we really really really hope Vince plays.
